Maybe now I can get back in the groove. I am in a weight loss contest for money so my training poundages will probably be going down. HOwever if I win, I will likely get over 200 dollars. So it will be worth it. I still want to clean 405 and that will be my ultimate goal in the long run. I cleaned 285 three weeks ago with very little training so I think it is possible. I am following the same Tier System that my kids are following. We will see how it goes.

Well so much for the Teir system. I strained my calf on Wednesday so there will be no lower body training for a while. I managed to limp for 30 minutes today though to burn some calories. I will go back to an U-L-U schedule on M-W-F.

Today
Grip 2 Bench-up to 265x4 (following a rep progression I came up with)
Blast Strap Rows- 4 sets
Dips- 2 sets.

Blast strap chins-4 sets

Blast Strap Face Pulls-2 sets
240 stairs (24 stairs x 10 reps) for conditioning

Very limited in my conditioning right now. I walked 35 minutes this morning on an empty stomach and did the stairs after training. My calf got some discoloration that seeped down into my foot. It stays swollen. Once i get a little warm, I move at about 75%. When it is cold, I walk worse than an old man. This is probably the worst shape I have been in in my life.

Hammer curls- 2 sets

I was sick so I didn't do much. My calf is a ton better. I can at least walk normal now after warming up. Weight is down about 16lbs.

Attached blast straps to the handles of a cooler. Added a 45 lb. plate inside.

Walked nearly a mile mixing forward and backwards walking. No rest between reps. Had I know how close I was to a mile, I would have walked a mile. Was around 150 yards away from a mile. Will walk a mile from now on.

Deadlift-up to 355x5
Walked over 1 mile(16 laps around top of the gym) with a cooler and a 45 attached. Was very hard. Will try to add 5lbs. each time I do it.

Walked 1 mile this morning.

Trying to keep lower body volume very low because if I try to squat or anything my bodyweight will go up. Im still trying to win that weight loss contest.

Grip 2 soft touch bench-up to 285x3 dont laugh
Band Rows during warmups-4 sets of 12 blue band
DB Press-75x16 paused at bottom

Upper Body sled dragging- a few trips
Then 6 trips of 50 yards backwards. Then 10 laps(14 laps is a mile).

Weight was 274.5 this morning. Down 21lbs. since January 6th.

My wife is doing an awesome job with our kids. Very Happy

Walked 16 laps with 75lbs. Weight was 272. Shooting for 265 on Friday morning. Thursday's workout will be a glycogen depletion workout. it will go as follows:
Power Squat-3x15
Leg Extension-3x15
Leg Curl-3x15
Lat Pulldown-3x15
Pushups-3x15
Tricep Pushdowns-3x15
Curls-3x15

The theory is that since glycogen holds 2-4 times its weight in water, depleting a ton of glycogen will deplete a good bit of water in my muscles. This should get me close to 265. If nothing else, I should burn a lot of calories.

Weighed 270 this morning. I remembered today why I hate high reps.

Supersetted Chins and Dips- 3 sets of amrap.

Rope Cooler Rows-Length of rope x 4. This was hard. My biceps have never gotten so pumped. It got really hard as I went over the dried sticky soft drink on the floor.

Doing strongman exercises tomorrow. Thinking of entering a competition if I can stay healthy.
