Heavy BP, missed 350 for 5 again. I only got 4, the first three were pretty easy, then on the fourth I missed the groove, brought it down way too high, which is something I rarely do and struggled to lock it out. My right shoulder was immediately sore as I locked it out. Medium sq, worked up to 325, light dl's super setted with BB GM's, worked up to 285. Thought I would do some GM's to try and make up for missing my reverse hypers Monday. Finshed up with some crunches 3 X AMRAP

I am losing weight and getting weaker. I missed last Friday because we stayed here at the school until after 1:00 painting the field, and then we stopped by Waffle House. I missed Monday because my wife had her wisdom teeth cut out. I worked out yesterday and stunk it up. I am about done with the Starr system, not that I really think that it is the problem. I just think that right now, I do not need the structure, I need to lift more on feel. I guess the argument could be made that I need the structure to push me, but man I am 36 years old and have no real goals in my training right now other than to try new things and not turn into a complete slob. I think I am going to rotate weeks starting next week, M and F upper, W lower and then vice versa the next week. FYI for those who even have time to contemplate my training.

I piddled this morning before Volleyball came in. I got my new swiss bar in Friday, so I worked up to 265 and did 5 X 5 using the widest grip. Pendlay rows 4 X 12, piston push downs 4 X something.

Pull up 3 X 5, Big 50 X 3 (been having some shoulder issues again, would go back to the dr, but I dont think I want to hear anything he has to say)

I can see its getting harder and harder to do stuff during football season. Anytime I can get a chance to sit down and relax I do. I can't stand the thought of picking up something heavy. How were we able to do it at Alexander is beyond me.

We pushed each other, and I need that more and more the older I get. I went through a new partner the first two weeks of school. I have not seen him in the weight room since.

I know for me the fact that I was competing kept me motivated. I couldn't miss because I had something on the line. Now I don't have anything on the line and couldn't care less if I miss a lower body workout.

No doubt, I may seriously try to do a push pull this spring. I miss being decently strong.

Piddled today, still not feeling 100% after my bout with a stomach virus this weekend. At least I think it was a virus, maybe it was just my reaction to another Friday night at NC. DB presses, 90's (biggest I got) X 15 X 12 X 10
Pendlay rows 135 X 12 X 4. Some kind of JM press with DB's 60's X 12 X 4 and I killed the last 10 minutes or so with some Zottman curls 30's 4 sets of something. Anybody out there?

Tried to do lower body, my low back felt like crap. Did a couple of sets of GM's. Reverse hypers 3 X 10, crunches 3 X something. I didn't have time to properly warm up and go through a bunch of mobility/ flexibility exercises which would have most likely loosened up my back. I did what I could bear.

Did a circuit X 3, push-ups, bent over rows, tricep pushdowns, zottman curls, each set was to just before failure.

Did the same circuit as last Thursday. I got here pretty early this morning, but then I realized I would not have a spotter. I think I will try to go heavy Th or Fr and make sure I have someone to lift off to me. Started Girl's LX this morning, a little tutorial on some lower body lifts. Thursday we will go over upper and next week we will start full body two days a week.

SSB GM's 315 X 5, 365 X 3, 365 X 2. I was somewhat pleased, I have not done any significant lower body work in a long time, probably 4 weeks. I should have done another set according to Prilipins, but I said piss on Prilipin this morning, I was done. RDL's 3 X 10, Ab pulldowns with a green, 3 X something.

I went as long as I could. Now that we are at the end of the season, I just have no desire to lift anything.

Swiss bar, widest grip, 315 3 X 3, bent over rows 3 X 10, Big 50 X 3. Still sore from Wednesday, it feels a little bit like old times. Yesterday, I went to drop one and when I went to sit down, I free fell the last 3 or 4 inches. Ahhh, the good old days, when taking a crap and getting everything cleaned up back there was more than just a bodily function, it was a job.

By the way Jay, you need to check out this Swiss Bar, I think you will want one or two for your kids.

Same upper body circuit I have been doing, think I will mix up some of the lifts next time. Any ideas Jay or Zach? Girls LX came in this morning and did a great job, good group of kids.
