military-170x8
Pullups- 4 sets

todays max was 215, down from 221 a couple of weeks ago. This is because I spent all morning outside with the tire flip-a-thon, lost about 5lbs in the heat and humidity, and didnt have much to eat for breakfast.

bench press-300x5
db press
db row

today's max was 350. last weeks was 351. Today was a weird week. If i had hit 6 reps at 300 I would have smashed last week. My last 3 reps cycle, I did 295x4 so I guess I am stronger. I almost did 302 today just so I would set a pr but that is probably not warranted.

I cant believe I am working off of a higher max on bench than on squat. I dont guess it is forever though. Im going up 10 on squat each cycle and only 5 on bench.

Yeah the end might be close. Please bear in mind that these sets are very very easy.

Military-up to 180x9
Dips
Pullups

Todays military max was 234. Thats a significant improvement over last week. I did this before school and liked lifting in the morning. After I warmed up, it felt quite right.

I fooled myself today. I loaded on the 25kg weights and after that treated them as 45lbs. I was mad because all my sets felt so heavy. I didnt realize it until after my last set.

Deadlift-up to 475x4(was supposed to be 455).

Training max today was 538.

military-190x6 training max 228. down from last week but still over my goal.

dips and chins

some curls. Maybe if my arms get bigger, my gut will look smaller.

The next few weeks are going to be tough. I might be able to squeeze in a 20 minute workout before, during, or after football workouts. I cant leave Kim at home too long with the babies. She deserves a break. So workouts will go on hold. This might last until school starts back. I am going to take a bar and about 500lbs home so I can still hit deadlift workouts in the morning before the kids wakeup. If I can do my 4 main lifts from now until school starts, I will be happy. At the very least I wont get weaker.

deadlift-465x3

dimmel deadlifts- 2 sets

My deadlift has sucked since 2004. And it wasn't much better then. I am trying to go back and do some of the things I did when it was better. Dimmel deadlifts are one of those exercsises. So i will do them one day and good mornings the other.

Wow, he's back. Dont hold your breath waiting on my return. You must do the work of two men for a while. I am on anti biotics, seems like a good enough excuse not to train.

I finally have some time at school where I am not drawing up plays or doing scout team defenses.

I forgot how sore Dimel deadlifts make you.

something was wrong with the site the other day when i tried to post so here is what happened this week.

Monday-squatted 405 for the first time in a long time.

Wednesday-so lifting because my kitchen flooded.

Thursday-Military pressed 225 for the first time ever. I know thats not very good.

Friday-Got the itch to clean. Cleaned 270 easily but missed 290. I hit myself in the throat so it was a technique issue. I believe I didn't pop my feet out wide enough and got balled up in the bottom and had to dump it and dive away. Then deadlifted 405 and didnt feel like doing anything else.

New Years Goals
Once again I would like to lose some weight. Ive said 250 in the past but maybe 260 is a more reasonable goal. I am around 290 now. Still better than this point last year. Last year I was 295 with very little muscle. I probably couldnt squat 315 or bench 275. So things have gotten better in that regard.

So with that being said before my 31st birthday, March 29
Squat-505 very possible considering that is only about 60% of my best ever
Bench-315x5 nearly there now
Deadlift-I guess 550 is about realistic. I suck so bad at deadlift.

after a two week rest.

Military Press-185x9 then 115x10x3

Chinups-3xmax reps. used a green band.

jump rope-100,80,80

Weighed 294 today. I have gotten so big that my eyes almost popped out when I put my weight belt on today. I want to start jumping rope every morning when I get to school. Its about the only thing that I halfway enjoy doing cardiovascular wise. I hate running and walking seems like it does nothing. So Ill give jumping rope a try.

One Arm Row-70x10x2

Not a bad bench for not benching in about 3 weeks.

wednesday
deadlift up to 465x2. still not as strong as I was before football season on deadlift. I don't really understand what the problem is. I know my low back has always been weak and I am trying to remedy that.

45 degree back raise-3 sets.
